There is nothing I love more than to spend time with my amazing wife and our three beautiful kids!  That, however, doesn’t happen much during the months of July, Aug and Sept.  So, Jaci and I have carved out a few days and we are dropping off the grid for the rest of this week! We’ll shoot a wedding Sunday and then be back life on Monday.  I am so excited to take my kids to the aquarium and play around at the park and actually get some time to talk with my wife about…. nothing “important” – and it’s going to be great (oh yeah, I’m smiling as I type this!)  I’ll pick up on the blog posts again next week.  Until then, here are a couple shots of Jaci and I having a little too much fun in one of our photobooths!

Just wanted to share another fun photobooth that we did – this was at Megan and Gary’s wedding in Virginia.

We thought it was time to post anther round of photobooth pictures on our blog – we do the photobooth at quite a few weddings, but always posting them would simply take up too much of the wedding posts and we want the posts to really focus on the beautiful brides and grooms.  These photobooth pictures come from Melissa and Brad’s wedding (post coming soon).   Again, the photobooth really is one of the best ways to capture the fun and unique personalities of the guests at a wedding – and its just so much fun to have at the wedding!

I had an opportunity to shoot an incredibly fun wedding recently (by the way, congrats again Adam and Brandi – You two are such a great couple!) and decided to take the opportunity to do a blog post on the photo booth that I do at more and more weddings.  Simply, the photo booth is like a mini studio set up – an umbrella and strobe with a professional backdrop set up somewhere in or near the reception room.  It is an option couples will go with when they want lots of fun pictures of their guests – there are a few key reasons: 1. At most receptions all the guests are sitting at round or rectangle tables and, therefor, there really isn’t any fun or attractive way to photograph the guests without taking pictures of the backs of many of their heads.  The photo booth totally takes care of all of this and provides the bride and groom with great pictures of their guests.   2. The photo booth gives the guests a chance to play and have fun in front of the camera, all without the bride and groom seeing, so that when the newly weds get their pictures back, there is an entire set of surprise pictures for the couple to enjoy!
